LocoMojo teaches New York style salsa, often called salsa On2. It is the smooth, musical style of salsa danced at socials, clubs and congresses around the world, so the basics you learn here work on any dance floor.
You do not need a partner or any dance experience. Every class rotates partners, so singles and couples both fit right in, and you learn faster by dancing with everyone. Start with the free class or Introduction, move into the Level 1.5 Improver course, then build through the term levels with partnerwork up to Level 3 plus open shines.
After Intro and Level 1.5 you can keep going with a weekly membership or a 10-week term. Founders Alex and Madalyn bring over 40 years of combined international Latin dance experience. The teaching team includes guest instructor Natasha Frost, a multiple-time Salsa and Bachata World Champion.
Beyond class, LocoMojo runs regular socials including Bar Salsa. Already danced salsa elsewhere? The transition course is for dancers switching to NY style.
