Meet the Team
LocoMojo

Over 40 years of combined experience bringing authentic New York style salsa to Brisbane. Meet the team behind LocoMojo Dance Academy.

Bringing NY Salsa to Brisbane

LocoMojo Dance Academy brings authentic New York style salsa to Brisbane. Originally launched in Melbourne over a decade ago, LocoMojo took a brief hiatus during COVID before reopening its doors in Brisbane in 2025. Alex and Madalyn bring over 40 years of combined international Latin dance experience, and are passionate about sharing the joy of social Latin dance.

The teaching team includes special guest instructor Natasha Frost, the current Salsa and Bachata World Champion across multiple categories for the past three years.

Beyond the social floor, Alex leads The Mojo Movement, coaching high-level performance teams, competition teams, solos, duets, and couples for stages and championships around the world.

Alex has coached multiple Australian national champions and world champions, and in January 2026, the most recent champions from the Mojo family claimed multiple World Championship titles — a powerful reflection of the training, standards, and culture built within Mojo Movement.

LocoMojo Brisbane is now the city's go-to destination for authentic New York style (On2) salsa — the only school in Brisbane dedicated exclusively to this elegant, musical style.
