You don't need any experience. Our Free Class and 5-Week Introduction course in Milton (Brisbane) are designed for complete beginners.
New York Style Salsa (On2) is a linear, musical style danced on the 2. It uses a slot, crisp timing, and smooth body movement.
No. Come solo or with a friend. We rotate partners in class so you learn to lead/follow with different people.
Classes are at The Polish Club, 10 Marie Street, Milton, Brisbane. Beginner and term salsa courses run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with free salsa class options for new students.
Book online on locomojo.dance — choose your course, complete checkout, and arrive for Week 1 at The Polish Club, Milton.
Wear comfortable, breathable clothing you can move in (gym/workout clothes is perfect).
Any clean, closed-toe shoe with a smooth/light sole is fine. Avoid sticky/rubber soles (they grip too much).
Just a water bottle and a positive vibe. We supply the rest.
Yes — free onsite parking at The Polish Club, plus free street parking nearby.
Yes! ~500m from Milton Station, with bus routes nearby. There's also free onsite and street parking if you drive.
Classes run ~45 minutes plus 15 mins between classes. Introduction courses run 5 weeks (one class per week).
They're the two roles in partner dance. Anyone can choose either role. Leaders initiate movement; Followers interpret and respond.
We run structured 5 week & 10 week blocks. We don't accept new joiners after the 2nd week.
If places are available, Week 1 door sales are okay — but we recommend booking online to secure your spot.
Starter has no prerequisites. For Improver/Advanced, we'll credit you into a suitable course (no refunds).
Bundles offer tiered pricing: single course at full price, two courses with 50% off the second, or unlimited access.
Adults of all ages (20s to 50s+). We focus on adult classes.

On1 breaks on the first beat; On2 (New York Style) breaks on the second beat for a smoother, more musical feel.
